Crunching homework by the days, that’s how days get numbered. You get afraid of the dark, get sleepless nights, think about a 100 and one things that could be wrong with your psyche, but all falls into place once you start the homework grill. Then suddenly you don’t care about psychology, or the working of the human mind. All you’d care about is cracking that problem and earning more points !! Keep crunching, keep working out, you can’t forget to do that or you’ll be dead in the water. Helpless hopeless and your future would be dark … and you’d think of opening a store or something much less than what you had set out for.

So keep crunching that homework, and those labs.

The year is quite significant and thus deserves its own place in time in memorial. Certainly not a good time, almost everything is jaded. I feel an intoxicating fatigue, maybe i’m overworked or just not able to manage time which is letting me down. And the foremost tradeoff factor keeps kicking in. The so-called conservative influence of the world and the mind is hard to circumscribe. Plugging existing holes just keeps surfacing new ones. Confused ? Not enough can be done. Or doing anything at all is wasteful. I’m certainly not out of wits or tact. But all this leads to no tact consequence equaled. Hmm. Possibly going by the book will keep and radical effects out of the way. Sometimes it seems as though I’m meant to step on a pothole, doing everything to evade one is resulting in even bigger ones. Catastrophic intervention looms over and this time…I guess doing nothing at all will be the thing to do. Stay dumb, stay optimistic.

Completed a list of short quotes and put them on twitter. This should be the last of twitter, for some time to come. Keeping a blog and keeping it public is something that should be mandatory. Lest one leaves said undone ? So say it all. To 2012.

It really is a journey,,, Being mortal, being human, being invulnerable.

As the days and years go past me, it feels almost like so noble a being i call life. I feel scared, almost every moment, my thoughts are not mine no more. But the heart still says that there will be another day. From the horror to the humor, from the childhood enigma to real world chaos, to the spirit that once was, and will be like no other. It’s not a dedication to the way we live, its more of a realization, that the heart no matter how surreal, is what I want to believe in. In the tapestry of life, there are colors, there are riddles, there are connections, there is logic but most importantly there is the heart. At times when your mind will not give your heart any chance even to blink an eye, we want to believe in miracles. The heart will never be able to give way to the logic of the mind, yet it Does make that difference that matters somewhere.

Really I’ve come a long way from wat not to wat if …..

hyperV scripts

Some of the stuff I did with Vmware hyperV last year. The hyperV natively is bare machine and does not have any network management capability like the older Vm server. So I put together a gateway VM built on any linux OS supporting iptables. By now most gui based linux flavors would be supporting the NAT/NAT gateway, port mapper capability, but it takes a bit of extra effort to build the NAT/Firewall on your own. Please refer to documentation and the iptables scripts to get ahead with Vmware management on the hypervisor.

A Storage Death Star

I keep wondering where all the data of the world goes to ? Since we the people of the world are generating tons of data almost everyday and this not just any day to day data … these are memories, journals, blogs, photos, videos !! Is there any organisation in the world that is conscientiously watching and making sure that the data generated and ever uploaded to the internet is still existing and will keep existing ever after ??
I don’t know I am not on facebook … or any new social networking site that just came up … I don’t want to move my desk and upload all the emotions and media to the new social net site over and over ?? And is it even possible to capture that emotion with which an internet upload happened ? Can something be done to make sure that some entity takes over the concern of not having to move from one social net or video site to another just because it’s heppier than the previous generation. Those are hours of thoughts that go into the internet .. and must stay there in their original form, font and color. Do I have a concern ?? I think this should be a big concern for most internet companies of the world. Imagine after 100 years this digital information will represent an era, would become cultural artifacts for generations to come. Till we reach the 23rd century ?? Personal files, data, videos, photos, family heritage handed down over generations.
I feel this will become one of the biggest challenges for the technology industry. A Death star of storage if you will

PDF Form Filler

Today I needed to fill out a form from a certain company asking for the form to be filled with a printer and not in ink !! This did perturb me a lot, however, since I had already taken the trouble of filling out numerous forms and understanding tons of stuff about printers, scanners and copiers that I took the challenge to fill a pdf form as well. And to my surprise I have not found after an exhorted effort of more than 2 hours and one failed attempt at a paid pdf filler service, I ended up with pdfexpress a freeware pdf filler with good fonts and not so easy text resizer and text object alignment with underlying original pdf form and finally printing. Thank You Freeware !! I hope to contribute some more software for free, although only for educational purposes at most. Thats my advice.
